Aerial View of Wied il-Għasri

Wied il-Għasri

Wied il-Għasri is a striking canyon-like inlet that funnels into the sea, perfect for adventurous shore dives. Entry is via a narrow pebble beach into a fjord-like gorge, where towering walls guide divers outwards. Depths range from 5–25m, making it accessible but still engaging. The site is rich in macro life—nudibranchs, shrimps, and small crustaceans—along with octopus and moray eels hiding in crevices. Surge can be strong in wavy conditions, so calm weather is best. Its dramatic topography makes it a favourite for photographers.
