Who is this for?

Our training programme is designed for people committed to marine research and conservation, those who want to pursue underwater research as a career, be able to contribute to conservation projects , or support their local environment by leading their own initiatives.

Overview

The programme focusses on building the skills required to safely and accurately carry out underwater data collection. Training is tied in with Mediterranean ecosystem knowledge and our active conservation projects. This means that you will be collecting data for real, ongoing research that will not only contribute to environmental protection but also boost your CV with real-world experience. This course is delivered by our Marine Biologist , who is a commercially trained scientific diver, who will ensure you leave with a a high proficiency for the skills and knowledge required in this field.

Duration and Prerequisites:

We offer this training course as a stand alone course but we recommend that it is taken alongside Divemaster training (if not already obtained). This not only improves your fundamental diving skills and safety, but also give you the professional certification usually required to work in this field. Internship options to reduce training fees are available.

EKO training course

Marine Research and Conservation Training with Dive Industry experience : 1 month

Pre-requisites:

• Rescue Diver
• Deep and Nitrox
• 30 logged dives

Divemaster x EKO training

Marine Research and Conservation Training combined with Professional Divemaster course. Available as a course format or internship with reduced training fees: 2-3 months

Pre-requisites:

• Rescue Diver
• First Aid
• Deep and Nitrox
• 40 logged dives
