Gozo and Malta are perfect for technical divers for multiple reasons. First of all, the underwater topology allows easy access to deep dive sites (in some dive sites, if you swim for more than 5 minutes, you can easily reach depths exceeding 50 meters); On top of that, a lot of the deep dives have shallow reefs, which allows technical divers to complete their decompression obligations on a reef, rather than staying still in the blue.

In terms of things to see, Malta and Gozo are abundant in Wrecks and Caverns. The beautiful underwater topography, with many tunnels, swim-throughs, and pinnacles, makes it easy to access deeper dive sites.

The technical diving community is also very present in Malta and Gozo, which means you will find a lot of support no matter the configuration you dive in: Rebreather, sidemount, or twinset.
